Our Lady of Fatima visits Radio Veritas

I was blessed to have a very close encounter with the International Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima. She visited the Radio Veritas Chapel yesterday, February 24.

The faithful praying to Our Lady

I rushed to the place right after work. I prayed that I could arrive on time before she leaves at 9:00 in the evening. My prayer was answered and I was already there at 8:15 p.m. To my surprise, it was "jampacked" with people, including the elderly who wanted to have a glimpse of her. Mostly were students and employees like me. The lobby was so full that it felt hot. I stood near a fan and prepared my camera. The queue was so long that I almost lost hope of seeing her. It seemed as if we all have to wait for her to go down and that's it. Yet, Our Lady intervened and when it was fifteen minutes from her schedule departure, we were slowly allowed to go up to the Chapel. They will wait for everyone before the Pilgrim Image leaves.

It was 9:15 p.m. when finally I saw her. I whispered my prayers to her. We couldn't touch her, not even the cloth she was wearing. Yet seeing her that close, with her eyes looking back at yours, was really something. You could feel her maternal love and affection. She is our Mother. We are her children.

I asked for her permission to take pictures. The result was amazing! She "looked at the camera". I will never forget this shot I have of her. Thank you, Mama Mary! Viva!

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
